From October 14 to 15, COFCO Futures and COFCO Sugar jointly held a Sugar Risk Management Exchange Meeting in Nanjing, and General Manager Liu of our company was invited to attend. The meeting focused on domestic and international macroeconomic situations, the current status of the sugar industry, and the practical application of derivative tools in risk management. It aimed to enhance enterprises´ forward-looking judgment on sugar market fluctuations and their ability to respond to risks. During the meeting, General Manager Liu communicated with industry experts and representatives of peer enterprises on key issues such as recent changes in sugar market prices, and shared our company´s relevant experience in risk control and market research and judgment.
On the 16th, the 113th National Sugar and Alcohol Commodities Fair opened at the Nanjing International Expo Center, and General Manager Liu went to attend the event. This session of the Fair was of a grand scale, attracting approximately 4,000 enterprises from over 40 countries and regions around the world to participate in the exhibition. A number of leading enterprises in the sugar industry concentrated on showcasing new products and new technologies, while numerous channel operators gathered together to conduct extensive exchanges focusing on the industry´s new technologies, new products, and new development trends.
This research trip featured a tight schedule and practical content. It not only strengthened the communication and cooperation between our company and peers in the sugar industry in the East China region, but also enabled us to promptly grasp the latest dynamics of the sugar market and the direction of risk management and control. This has provided valuable references for the company to further optimize its business strategies and enhance its competitiveness in the industry.
