On the morning of Nov. 6, 2018, undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce of India, Mr. Anup Wadhawa, and China sugar importers had a meeting at Consulate General of India in Shanghai. Our general manager, Mrs. Cheng Shujuan, and vice general manager, Mr. Liu Yang, was invited for meeting.

Economic and commercial counselor of the India embassy in China chaired the meeting. China-India delegation of sugar industry had a warm, friendly and fruitful talks. During the talks, consul general of Consulate General of India in Shanghai delivered a welcome speech. Director of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Mr. Suresh Kumar Vashishth, gave a brief introduction. Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce of India, Mr. Anup Wadhawa, made a speech. Vice chairman of China Sugar Association, Mr. Hu Zhijiang, had a speech. General manager of COFCO, Mr. Wu Zhen, had a speech on behalf of China sugar importers.
Both sides had a broad and In-depth exchange views on many issues of common concern, and expressed a beautiful vision of mutual benefit for future.

India is the second largest sugar producer, highly developed in sugar making, and has professional research institution for sugar making and sugarcane plating, which aroused us with good interest and paid more close attention to it. Through this meeting, CCSI broadened the channel of import, which would make us get better sugar imported into domestic market to make general consumer more benefits.
