[Trade flow] Thailand: 19/20 Season sugar exports hit a three-year low

Thailand exported about 322,200 tons of sugar in September 2020, down 72.42% year-on-year, which was the lowest export volume since December 2016. Among them, raw sugar was exported to Indonesia (43,900 tons) and Vietnam (42,400 tons), down 84% year-on-year. Exports of low-quality white sugar reached 30,300 tons, down 54.45% year on year. Exports of refined sugar fell by 59.37% to Vietnam (51,500 tons) and the Philippines (24,000 tons).
Thailand exported 80,05,400 tons of sugar in the 2019/20 season, a year-on-year decrease of 19.39% and the lowest level in the last three seasons.
