China imported 310,000 tons of sugar in July, down 100,000 tons month-on-month and 130,000 tons year-on-year, lower than market expectations, customs data showed.
From January to July in 2020, China imported 1.55 million tons of sugar, an increase of 50,000 tons year-on-year.
By the end of July, China had imported 2.53 million tons of sugar in the pressing season, up 180,000 tons year-on-year.
