Thailand: Sugar exports for the 19/20 season rose 9% year on year as of April

In April 2020, Thailand exported about 666,400 tons of sugar, an increase of 6.81% over the same period last year. Among them, 417,100 tons of raw sugar were exported, up 28.1% year-on-year, mainly to Indonesia (336,500 tons) and Vietnam (58,600 tons). Exports of low-quality white sugar reached 47,800 tons, down 29.89% year-on-year; Exports of refined sugar reached 201,500 tons, down 12.43% year-on-year, mainly to Vietnam (49,700 tons), Taiwan of China (31,200 tons) and Cambodia (29,400 tons).
Thailand exported a total of 5,717,400 tons of sugar from October 19 to April 20, up by 9% year-on-year.
