On November 1, the 2023/24 National Sugar Production and Marketing Conference was held in Haikou, Hainan province. Liu Yang, general manager of Zhongshang Sugar Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Our Company"), was invited to attend the conference. This meeting aims to fully implement the spirit of the Party´s 20 National Congress and the relevant decisions and arrangements of the Central Document No. 1, thoroughly implement the development strategy on ensuring the safe supply of important agricultural products, give full play to the positive role of the sugar industry in consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation in major sugar-producing provinces (regions) and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization, ensure the safe supply of sugar, and promote the high-quality development of the sugar industry. At the meeting, Zhang Chonghe, president of China Light Industry Federation, Yan Weimin, chairman of China Sugar Industry Association and other leaders delivered important speeches. The secretariat of the China Sugar Association summarized the main work of this year, such as the national sugar planting situation and sugar production and marketing situation during the sugar production period, and looked forward to new ideas for the development of the industry in the New Year. The invited guests delivered keynote speeches on topics such as overview of China´s sugar industry, domestic and international sugar market forms and risk management strategies, current situation and development trend of China´s beverage industry, analysis of sugarcane production costs in China and application of AI model to improve the comprehensive service capability of the sugar industry.
This conference provides a good communication platform for our company, so that we can better understand the dynamic trend of the sugar market, strengthen our contact with peers, and provide more opportunities for deepening cooperation in the future.
