The 2024 China (Nanning) Sugar Market Situation Analysis Conference was held in Nanning, Guangxi from April 25th to 26th. The purpose of this meeting is to build a communication platform for sugar production and sales, accelerate the construction of a new development pattern of "dual circulation" in the sugar industry, gather industry wisdom, and achieve high-quality development of the sugar industry. More than 200 representatives from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Development and Reform Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Yunnan Province, as well as representatives from various sectors such as the Sugar Industry Association, sugar production and distribution enterprises, sugar terminals, and industrial research institutions, attended the meeting. At the meeting, the leaders of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Yunnan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and relevant national ministries and commissions delivered speeches respectively. Subsequently, the leaders of the China Sugar Industry Association and the sugar industry associations of various sugar producing provinces and regions respectively presented reports on the sugar industry situation. Subsequently, domestic and foreign experts and scholars at the conference delivered keynote speeches such as "2024 Climate Trend Prediction and Its Impact on Major Sugar producing Countries", "Analysis and Outlook of Global Sugar Market Production Situation", "Analysis of Global Sugar Market Consumption and Trade Flow", "Introduction to the Development of Thailand´s Sugar Industry", "Sugarcane Ethanol Policy and Long term Outlook of Sugar Market Trends".

The convening of this meeting has provided a platform for all parties in the industry to communicate with each other and deepen their understanding. It has helped sugar industry entities to manage sugar production and sales risks and make business decisions, contributing more to ensuring national sugar supply security and rural revitalization, and effectively promoting the stable development of China´s sugar industry.
