At a meeting of the International Sugar Organization (ISO), Datagro predicted that sugar production in central southern Brazil will recover to between 42 million and 43.2 million tons in 2025/26, compared to 39.3 million tons in 2024/25.
The agency expects sugarcane production in central and southern Brazil to be between 590 million and 620 million tons in 2025/26, while the estimate for 2024/25 is 602 million tons.
