During the time from August21, 2017 to August25, 2017, our team and other industry insiders went to Inner Mongolia and Hebei province for sugar beet research. We did field research and held a meeting with several staffs from sugar refinery disgusting about major issues and development prospects in sugar beet industry in Inner Mongolia, and had a conversation focusing on hot topic in sugar beet market today.

Through communication with peasants there, we got that sugar beet was coming to maturity and was growing well. Moreover, Irrigation system was keeping in good order, so sugar beet had fewer effects from climate change. In addition, agriculture there was fully mechanized, we saw including planter, reaper as well as many other kinds of large-scale agricultural machinery staying in field.

After a conversation with contractor, we got that compared with other crops, the yield of sugar beet was stable. Peasants were more motivated to grow sugar beet, and we happened to meet several major contractors.

Besides deeply getting to know about cultivation of sugar beet in field, we also attended a meeting with some leaders of sugar refinery, and got that according to the feedback from staff in several sugar refineries, major products in Inner Mongolia was white soft sugar whose manufacturing technique was roughly similar to white granulated sugar’s. The different was that invert syrup would be added into white granulated sugar after molasses had been separated from sugar by means of centrifugal operation and then to produce white soft sugar. Still, many sugar refineries mainly focused on marketing.

Altogether four members including Angel Yeast (Chifeng) Co., Ltd., Botian Sugar Industry (Zhangbei) Co. Ltd. and another two corporations took part in this research.

Through the research, we learned more about sugar beet and paved the way for brilliant future of our company.
